2024 is going to be a fantastic year for those in love with music in Vienna. The André Rieu concert on November 8 is going to be one of the highlight, but most people agree that the two biggest events in 2024 will be the Coldplay concerts in Vienna and the Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna. Since André Rieu founded the Johan Strauss orchestra in 1987 in Vienna, many people believe that André Rieu is from Austria. That isn’t so. He was born in the Netherlands in the city of Maastricht in 1949. He had his big breakthrough as he founded the orchestra in 1987, and today he has had more than one billion views on YouTube and tickets for all his concerts worldwide are sold within minutes (normally).

Only five days after the Deep Purple concert in Vienna, Sting is arriving to continue the party. The venue is the same (Stadthalle), but the audience will probably be different. Will you be there for both events, or only for the Sting concert?

Metallica concert in Vienna 2018

The rock-band Metallica will spend the last day of March 2018 in the beautiful city of Vienna. They will perform in the Stadthalle and the concert will start at 19.30.

Metallica will tour larger parts of Europe in 2018, and the action starts on February 1st in Lisbon. That sounds like a logical place to start such a tour because the temperature is much nicer in Lisbon in February than in for example Vienna. But, about two months later the band will come to Vienna, and by then, spring has arrived, and hopefully, the sun will be shining. If it is raining outside, want matter, because on the inside of Stadthalle on March 31st it will be a fantastic atmosphere as Metallica climb the stage.

Metallica has been to Vienna several times, and they have thousands of fans in the nation. Now the band will return, and people have been very eager to grab hold of the best tickets. On March 24th Andrea Bocelli will sing from the stage in Wiener Stadthalle. Would you like to be there to listen? It is 100% possible.

While other artists like Coldplay, U2 and Bruno Mars have five concerts a week during their tours, Andrea Bocelli is taking it in a much nicer pace. In 2018 he will celebrate his 60th birthday on September 22nd, and probably not for that reason, but he still does his tour with about one concert a week. Sometimes even less, because when he comes to Vienna on March 24th, his former concert was in Zagreb exactly two weeks earlier.

Andrea Bocelli is one of the most influential singers of our time, and he has recorded more than 15 albums. He was born with poor sight, but unfortunately his sight was totally lost at the age of 12 after a football accident.

Bruno Mars concert in Vienna

A few days after the Bruno Mars concerts in Budapest and in Frankfurt, the same guy will enter the stage in Wiener Stadthalle.

On June 3rd at 20.00 it is time for Peter Hernandez (the real name of Bruno Mars) to enter the stage in Stadthalle in Vienna. This is an incredible concert venue, and it is used for concerts all year around. It has even hosted a Eurovision Song Contest, but on June 3rd in 2017 everything will be about Bruno Mars.

If you would like to be there at the Bruno Mars concert in Wiener Stadthalle, then it is easy to get there. You can easily get to the Stadthalle using the underground (metro). To do so you need to travel with Metro 3 to Schweglerstrasse and use the Märzstraße exit, or you can travel with metro line 6 to Burggasse-Stadthalle and use the Urban-Loritz-Platz exit. Deep Purple concert in Vienna 2017

On May 17th Vienna will welcome Deep Purple to town. One of the biggest pioneer bands in the rock industry will perform in Stadthalle at 20.00 on this day!

Deep Purple is said to be the pioneers of rock music as we know it today together with Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. And yes, even though they are old (the band was formed in 1968), they are still going strong, and during their Europe tour they will visit lots of cities in Europe, including Vienna, Zagreb, Prague, Lodz, Amsterdam, Paris and lots of other cities.

On May 17th it is time for the band to stop in Vienna, only one day after the Deep Purple concert in Zagreb. If you did not know it, then May 17th is the Norwegian national day. You should therefore not be surprised if you see some Norwegian flags during the concert, because Norwegian people coming to this concert will for sure combine the Deep Purple concert with a celebration of the Norwegian national day.
