New Year’s Run 2024

Are you ready to finish the year in a fantastic way? Why not take part in the fantastic New Year’s Run in Vienna? This and more is possible if you come to run the New Year’s Run in Vienna on December 31.

It is worth knowing that several Christmas markets in Vienna are still open at this time, meaning that you can easily combine some Christmas market atmosphere and shopping with the New Year’s Run. The race starts University of Vienna (which is very close to Rathausplatz). From there, you run towards the Danube, along the Danube, before you head towards the Stadtpark (City Park), the Museums quarter, the Burgtheater, the Parliament, and then end up by the City Hall and the university. As you cross the finish line, you have run more than 5300 meters in a beautiful environment.

You have a total of 90 minutes to finish the race, meaning that you can easily walk the distance within ninety minutes. Enjoy this chance to discover Vienna walking in the middle of the roads that are normally filled with cars.
