Austrian national day
On October 26th, it is a national day in Austria. All shops are closed, and the day commemorates the events of the Second World War and the political events in the aftermath of the war.
If you come to Austria and to Vienna on this day, make sure to visit a museum, eat a good meal in a restaurant – but, forget about shopping at the malls and in the stores in the city.
It is also a perfect day to visit Schönbrunn!
