Are you looking for some dark, scary place to go while in Vienna? if so you might have heard of London Dungeon and would be curious to know whether such a dungeon can be found in Vienna as well. The truth is that there are no such dungeon in Vienna, the closest to this kind of action might be what you can experience at the different activities in Wurstelprater.

So, no Vienna Dungeon available yet, but as soon as it comes (if it comes), we will be here to tell you about it. Until then, travel to London, Amsterdam, Edinburgh or York to visit another of the official Dungeons available currently!

The Who’s Tommy Rockopera Vienna 2012

On some of the last days before Christmas in 2012 it is possible to check out “The Who’s Tommy Rockopera” in Vienna. The dates for the event is December 18th and 19th, and it starts at 19.30 on both dates. The venue for the Rockopera is Museumsquartier (Hala E+G).

Gustav Klimt in Museum of Fine Arts

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birthday of Gustav Klimt on July 14, 2012, the Kunsthistorisches Museum will showcase its important wall paintings designed and executed by the celebrated painter and draughtsman. Gustav Klimt is a painter most of us love and we have all seen his pictures around, either in IKEA, or in art museums all around the world. This exhibition will be a great chance to see the original works of Gustav Klimt close up and of course to see many of his works side by side. The exhibition can be seen in the Museum of Fine Arts between February 14th and May 6th.

Hard Rock Cafe coming to Vienna?

We are still waiting, but today I just read somewhere that they heard in Barcelona, that a Hard Rock Cafe restaurant would in Vienna by the end of 2012. Who knows, but it sure would be great. Since December 14th, 2011, a Hard Rock Cafe can be found in Budapest as well, so it is for sure time for a Hard Rock Cafe to open in Vienna as well.
